Our Experience
Shepherd's Rest is a ministry extended from Brad & Pam Becker, and family.
Brad has provided marriage and family guidance in the area since 1990 and knows the the needs of today's families. He served as Counseling Pastor on the staff of a large Baptist church for over a decade, working with its congregation and the Memphis/North Mississippi community at large. He has also taught courses and workshops on marriage and family matters, including faculty for LifeWay's Fall Festivals of Marriage since 1994, referral counselor for Crown Financial Ministries since 1988, and with the entire family serving at Mississippi Baptist Convention Board events. He is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis, MD, where he majored in Mathematics, and Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary, Memphis, TN, where he also was an adjunct instructor in Christian Education for six years. Additionally, he counsels for Christian Counseling Ministries, Southaven, MS.
Pam graduated from Florida State University with a degree in History & Criticism of Art. A former Miss Florida USA finalist, she worked in the Museum of Florida History, in a private art gallery in Jacksonville, as a Red Cross volunteer, and then as Red Cross field director, Naval Hospital, Jacksonville. She was selected as Mississippi Full-Time Homemaker of the Year by Phyllis Schlafly & Eagle Forum, and has been listed in Who's Who Among America's Teachers.
